French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said in an interview published today that European and American President-elect Joe Biden should “find a way” to suspend a trade dispute that was “poisoning everyone.”
“The problem that is poisoning everyone is the problem of rising prices, taxes on steel, digital technology, Airbus and others, especially our wine sector,” Le Drian. He told the weekly newspaper The Sunday Newspaper.
Le Drian added: “If we can quickly find a way that allows us to resolve this dispute with Europe and France, this would be a step forward. This may take time, but in the meantime, we can always issue an order to stop.”
