The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down from their positions as senior members of the royal family last year. Megan and Harry moved to the United States with their infant son Archie.

ITN News Anchor Tom Brady said he believes Prince Harry is grieving over the situation with his family.

But he added that the couple are “satisfied” with their new status and are excited about their projects.

Brady was a guest at a Sussex wedding in 2018 and had previously interviewed the couple before they decided to step down from the royal life.

During an interview on Love Your Weekend With Alan Titchmarsh, scheduled to air today, Mr. Brady talked about Megan and Harry.

He said, “I think they are satisfied, the things they do are very passionate about.

“I think Harry is sad.

“You don’t necessarily need knowledge to know this, but I think it’s true.”

Brady added, “It is clear that the situation with the family is not ideal. It has been a difficult year.”

He said, “It is painful in all respects, it hurts for everyone, it is difficult to manage.

“They effectively decided to leave the royal family altogether, and that never happened.”

In an interview with Mr. Brady in the documentary “Harry and Meghan: An African Journey”, which was filmed before the Sussex family stepped down, the Duchess explained how she was warned by her British friends.

Megan said, “I have no idea, it might seem difficult to understand here.

“When I met my now husband for the first time, my friends were really happy because I was so happy, but my British friends said to me, ‘I’m sure he’s cool, but you shouldn’t do that because British newspapers will ruin your life.’

Since moving to the US, Megan and Harry have signed deals with the streaming giants Netflix and Spotify.

Royal commentators expect Sussex to return to the United Kingdom.

Phil Dampier, author of Royally Suited: Harry and Meghan in their own words, claimed that the first encounter between Sussexes and Cambridge would be “embarrassing”.

He told the Sun, “I think it’d be very embarrassing if they met.

“ From what I am told, the spat is not much better at the moment – they don’t talk much.

“I think they will stand in a united front for the unveiling of the Diana statue and I am sure they will stand in a united front to celebrate Christmas but behind the scenes I think there will be a lot of tension.”
